What is Feng Shui?
Feng shui (pronounced Fung-shway) is the ancient Chinese art of promoting balance and harmony in one's living and working environments. It can be described as the study of the relationship between humanity and the earth. The Chinese characters mean "wind" and "water", and imply the perpetual flow and transformation of energy in the natural world.
At the heart of feng shui is the practical intension to balance the flows of energy in one's immediate surroundings to promote health and well-being on many levels.
Feng Shui is the Chineses science and art placement. It concern is how man can place himself most comfortably and live in harmony with his environment. Earlier, mains environment consisted of mountains, rivers and the shape of the earth, etc.
Today it extends to the streets and buildings around him because this is what most people face in their daily life. Ancient man had to check the pulse of wind and water before he settled in a particular place.
It's all about flow
Feng Shui or Chinese Geomancy (geo="earth" + mancy="division").could be called the science of flow, or maybe the architecture of energy, or the philosophy of interior design.
Feng Shui is concerned with the essential relationship between our external environment and our inner world. It is the art of analyzing and balancing the natural flow of energy in the home or office thereby realizing one's full potential. It leads to growth in efficency, harmony, wealth and prosperity.
We live amidst, absorb and influence nature's forces of polarity (Yin/Yang)and the laws governing the spiraling movements of energy and growth.
The method of achieving the goals of harmony and prosperity is through specific placement and orientation on furniture artifacts, color, lighting and pictures.
Areas of the office and home reflect our inner energy and intent. The act of alerting the physical space in which we live and work.

The importance of the five elements
The core Chinese science of the Universe : Feng Shui, the Chinese Astrology and various other Divinity methods revolves around the understanding of the importance it the Five Elements. These elements are Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal and are considered the building blocks of life.
According to ancient Chinese, these Five Elements are interactive, shape and stimulate our daily life. It is important to understand that there is a natural order in which leads to harmony prosperity and happiness. The productive sequence is as follows: Water nourish plants and trees: producing Wood, Wood makes Fire which burnt into ashes to from Earth, Earth is the source of Metal, Metal can be condensed to water or can be melted can be condensed to water or can be melted into liquid i.e.
'Water'. Therefore this process is known as the productive sequence.
Feng Shui provides practical methods to evaluate how placement affects our well-being, happiness and prosperity. Since placement is a person/place connection,
It is important to know the birth date of a person we are helping. The date of birth is the time that determines the dominant energy that underpins an individual's life.
To again the best results in Feng Shui, therefore, the total psychological, astrological
and physical environment of person has to be skillfully mapped.

Nine basic cures
There are basic remedies to later, moderate, or raise energy. They are used to resolve imbalances to improve chi circulation and to enhance one of the eight babua areas and thus its corresponding life situation.
- Bright Object: mirror, crystal ball, lights
- Sounds: wind chimes, bells
- Living object: plants, flower, aquarium or fishbowl
- Moving object: mobile, windmill, whirligig, fountain
- Heavy objects: stones or statues
- Electrically powered objects: computer, stereo, TV
- Symbolic paintings, pictures or objects
- Form and color
- Others
Some tips
- Where natural light is not readily available, especially in corridors and entry vestibules, make sure they are will illuminated.
Never sleep with a beam ever your bed or put a shelf over it or your dest.
Your world could fall down on you at any moment.
Throw out dead flowers or plants, they have lost their vitality.
Always use your intuition before making changes, consider first how it effects the rest of your décor. Do not just use traditional rules such as painting your front door red, it would cause disharmony if your home was peach or rose.
Remember your Chi, it is your inner-personal development, desire and love of life that will help maximize positive results.
Avoid sharp pointed building, wall corners, furniture or accessories pointed directly at your house bed or desk. It is reminiscent of a cutting knife edge or a disapproving finger.
Make sure ail of the five traditional elements (fire, wood, metal, earth & water)
are included in your design for energetic/emotional and decorative balance.
The entry of your home or office should be open and inviting trim away foliage
that may be blocking the path of Chi.
Always position your bed, desk, and stove to have a clear view of the door.
The principal and upper executives offices should be located in the command
areas of the offices. While giving employees and clients accessibility. Everyone will benefit because the entire office will feel as if it is one body. The sum of all functions harmoaiously working toward the main objective.
- Bathroom doors should be kept shut, with toilet seats down, to prevent Chi. opportunity, wealth and happiness from being flushed.
Sealing the door
Before buying or moving into a home, know the past history! for example :
If you are buying a home due to a bankruptcy situation this is considered to be
a potential for money problems for the new resident. The home must be cured
prior to anyone residing in it.
